240 Runners at Tatts 5 on Saturday

Organisers and runners were feeling the heat at the Tattyreagh 5mile/5km race on Saturday. 114 runners completed the 5mile and Foyle Valley’s Keith Shields was 1st over the line in a time of 26.05 mins with local Omagh Harrier runner Paul Barbour in 2nd place with 26.43 mins. Pete Neill was 1st in the over 40 category with Omagh Harrier Patrick McCrory getting 2nd. Dromore’s Kevin Smyth was 1st over 50 and Terry McCullagh 2nd. Local Omagh Harrier members Caroline Miller was 1st female with Patricia Campbell in 2nd place. Enniskillen runner Linda Walsh 1st over 40 and Maria McCarter getting 1st over 50. Under 19 was win by Omagh Harriers Eamon Logue in 32.50.

The 5km with 130 runners was won by Brendan Collins in 19.40min with Niall McDonagh and Peadar Mullan from Tattyreagh getting join 2nd, with Niamh Heaney 1st female and Caoimhe Grugan 1st under 17 category both Omagh Harrier members. Runners were then treated to post race refreshments, drinks and Glenish yogurts.
